about me.
über mich.
Hey, I’m Austin - below is a little bit about me.
i am Currently applying my trade as an architect at Architekturbüro Jörg von Friedrich-Liebenberg in Munich, Germany.
I was born and raised in India up to the age of 8, before moving to the “land of the long white cloud” – Aotearoa | New Zealand. April of 2019 saw me move to Europe, where I have been working now as an Architect for 5 years. Working in a small team, I am involved with projects that range from renovations to new-builds. Having learnt the German language (at a B2 level) since my move, incorporating this into my work life has been both a challenge as well as a reward that has kept me on my feet and pushed me to continually grow my potential. I now find myself very much at home here in Munich and am happy to call this beautiful city my abode!
I have been described as an outgoing individual, that loves being around people and engaging in activities. I love challenges, and usually like to tackle them head on. I enjoy working in groups as I feel that there is a lot to learn from others and I love the results that can be achieved when collaborating. However, I am just as confident working independently when needed.
My current role gives me full creativity of design in which I have the responsibility to manage projects from conception all the way to the hand-over of the keys of the finished project (LPH 1-8). This includes initial ideas, planning, permissions, work- and detail planning, tendering, cost controlling, project managing and being the pivot between client and contractors. Completed works of my time thus far include work on apartments and houses from 60 to 600m² and office spaces from 200 to 4000m². In January of 2024 I had successfully completed my induction into the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, officially earning the title of Architect. Following are a few of my selected architecture works.
Cheers for stopping by and please feel free to contact me for any feedback or to learn more. Bis Bald!
