Brief:

A residential home that was designed around a very strict budget and client. The needs of the client included a two storey open-plan house that needed to contrast with the context of Island Bay, Wellington. Materials such as scorched wood and aluminium were used to give the design a modern look while features such as the pool were required to blend in with the house while still having a component of separation.
