hot up in the six
It was not just holiday this time. This time it was special, and it was my sister’s special day.
A trip over to Toronto was well overdue and months of planning had finally come to fruition when we went across the Atlantic.
The highlight of this trip was undoubtedly the reunion with my family. From all over the world, we flocked to Canada to celebrate love and in the process we were able to create many more memorable memories together.
As hectic as any large family gatherings can be, ours was no different. However, what also comes from that are the many laughs, tears, smiles, shared meals, reminiscing and love that makes it undoubtedly worth it. A rare pleasure I can afford, being with ma parents, sister and extended family is something I cherish very much.
Somewhere between and after the festivities, exploring the city with n was a real treat. A stark difference to what we’re used to, the six (Toronto) has much of its beauty in the tall, glass-studded buildings and skyline, which we were able to walk through and surrendered to being dwarfed by.
A quick trip to Niagara Falls was a nice excursion. Seeing the might of the falls and feeling the mist on our skins (at one point it was more than just mist.. we got soaked. Ponchos are a lie), it was a perfect reminder of how beautiful and powerful nature is.
